Using Bistro Mode

Summary

This article explains what Bistro Mode is and how to use it. 

Bistro Mode allows multiple orders to be places on the same table and paid for individually, while still being printed on a single prep docket. Without Bistro Mode, a new prep docket is printed each time an order is saved. With Bistro Mode enabled, prep dockets are not printed until the user chooses to allow it. this feature is only available in table mode and must be configured for individual terminals.

Step 1 - Place the first order

  1. To place an order on a table, select the desired table number from the table screen. 



  2. Order Items: Select the menu section on the left side of the screen. Choose the required menu item(s). The items will appear on the right side of the screen 



  3. To pay for these items before continuing to the next customer, select the 'Pay' icon at the bottom. 
  4. Follow the usual payment process until the amount due is $0.00



  5. Once the payment is saved, the system will ask if there are more customers to serve. Select 'Yes' to continue placing orders for the same table.

Step 2 - Place additional orders

  1. Follow the same process as in Step 1  to add more items 

Note: Paid items will appear in Blue, indicating they are paid for but not printed. These items cannot be edited. 

Step 3 - Made additional payments

  1. Additional payments can be made by selecting the pay icon as per in step 1. Each payment will be listed separately on the payment screen. 

Step 4 - Finalising the order

  1. Repeat the above steps until all customers at the table have ordered table have ordered.
  2. When prompted with 'are there anymore customers to serve for this account?', Select No


  3. The account will close, and any prep dockets will be printed to the allocated printers, showing the full table order.
