How to Change Display/Resolution on your tablet

This article will explain:

  • Why you may need to change the display/resolution on your tablet

Why might I need to change the display/resolution on my tablet?

Different sized tablets cause the system to look differently. To resolve this, we will need to adjust the resolution in which the Tablets are accessing the server. This makes text / icons easier to read and also makes them bigger.

How to change Display/Resolution Settings

Step 1 - Display Settings

The Microsoft Remote Desktop application has a range of In-built settings, however the one we are most concerned with is Display.

To get to this Open the Remote Desktop Application, Select the Menu Button (3 dots) and Select Edit, Followed by Show Additional Options

Step 2 - Setting up the Resolution

Select Customise Display Resolution

Once in the Display Settings, you are able to increase / decrease the resolution.

This will bring up the sizes that are currently used. Select Match This Device (This can be changed depending on what fits best on your screen)

Step 3 - Reconnecting

Once everything is all configured, go ahead and re-connect to the remote session.

Handy Hint: If some icons are cut off or missing, you may need to log your tablet off and on again.
