Summary of the Reports
The Discount and Surcharges reports are audit reports that allow the use of each feature to be analysed in a range of ways including; their cost, the items they are being added to or even the staff member who has applied them. These reports help to keep price adjustments under control.
Note: To find these reports search 'Discount Report' or 'Surcharge Report' in OfficeMate
Available Filters in the Reports
- Custom Date Range, Daily, Week Ending, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly
- All Day, Custom Time Range, Day Part
- By User, By Discount, By Surcharge, Summary By User, Summary By Discount, Summary By Surcharge
The Information in the Reports
Filters
- Multiple types of discounts/surcharges can be selected consecutively
- Use the additional tabs at the top of the screen to view additional reports
- Removing price level discounts may give you more visibility of manually applied or non automatic discounts
Created
- The date and time the discount/surcharge was applied
Discount/Surcharge
- The name of the discount/surcharge in the set up screen
- The name of the price level
- The delivery fee name
- Daily discount/surcharge if the surcharge or discount feature was enabled
- If a manual discount/surcharge is applied, the name is;
- Open Price Discount/Surcharge
User
- The user that was logged in to WaiterMate when the discount/surcharge was applied
Cost
- The cost of the discount/surcharge to the business
- A positive (+) value indicates that the price was lower than the usual price (a + cost to the business)
- A negative (-) value indicates that the price was higher than the usual price (a - cost to the business)
- The cost is an Inc GST value
Type
- Normal: A preset discount was created and applied to the item/account
- Daily: The daily surcharge or discount feature was enabled and changed the price of the item/account
- Custom: A custom $ or % discount was applied to the item/account
- Price Level: A price level increased/decreased the price of the item
- Open Price: The price of the item was manually changed in WaiterMate
- Loyalty: The customer used loyalty points to purchase the item
- Delivery Surcharge: There was an automatic delivery surcharge on the account
Target
- The 'Target' is either:
- The 'Item Name' for an item level discount/surcharge
- The 'Account Type' for an account level discount/surcharge
