Deleting Items In WaiterMate

Summary

This article explains the process of deleting items that have been saved but have not yet been paid for by the customer. 

What is a deletion?

A deletion occurs when one or more items are removed from an account in WaiterMate before payment is received.

Key points to note:

  • items can only be deleted after they have been saved to an account. 
  • if the item typically triggers a 'prep' docket, this docket will have already been printed. 
  • When configured, an additional prep docket may print to the same printer to indicate that the item has been deleted.

How to delete an item in WaiterMate

  1. Login to WaiterMate. 
  2. Select the relevant account from which the item is to be deleted. 
  3. Items that have been saved and printed are highlighted in orange. Locate the item and select the "X" button on the right side of its listing in the receipt window. 
    - Note: the user must have the necessary permission level to perform this action. 

  4. Save these changes by selectin the Save icon at the bottom of the screen. 
    - Note: if configured, a deleted item docket will print at the original prep printer, indicating the item has been removed from the order.
