How does OrderMate work with Wedderburn Scales?
If using Barcode printing Wedderburn scales, a file must be imported into the Wedderburn software containing the PLU's set for each item. This is so that when the barcode is scanned, the OrderMate software recognises this as the correct menu item. Prior to creating the export file a unique PLU must first be assigned to any items that require barcodes.
How to set your items up
Step 1 - Creating the New Menu Item
Create a New Menu Item if this has not already been done.
Step 2 - Adding a PLU
From the items screen in OfficeMate, tick the show extended view box. This will open some extra columns on the screen.
Use the scroll bar from the bottom of the screen to move across to the right until the 'Barcodes' field is visible.
Select this field for the desired item and a dialog box will be shown.
Select the ‘Add’ icon and enter a unique number between two and six characters.
Step 3 - Exporting the file
Navigate to the ‘Scales’ screen in OfficeMate.
Choose the ‘Export to Wedderburn’ icon from the top of the screen.
Choose where you would like to save the file and name the file.
This file is now ready to be imported into the Wedderburn software.
Note: Please contact Wedderburn on the process for importing this file.
