Create Multiple Shifts

What is a shift?

A shift is a way of separating the takings or reconciliation into different reporting periods within the same trading day.

When are multiple shifts used?

Multiple shifts can be used when a cash drawer is changed over for a new one during the trading day. Shifts can be changed separately per WaiterMate terminal or for all terminals.

Note: if multiple shifts are setup then a manual shift change is required. If a simple reporting breakdown between lunch and dinner sales is what is required then 'Day Parts' may be a better solution.
