This article explains the different log-in methods used in WaiterMate and how to assign these log-in methods to users.
Note: Users must first be created in OfficeMate before a pin number can be assigned. Additionally, the required level of permission is needed to perform this task.
What log-in methods are used in WaiterMate?
WaiterMate allows the following log-in methods for users:
- Pin number
- Proximity band
- Swipe card
- Finger print
How to assign each log-in method to a user
- Login to WaiterMate with sufficient permission (administrator or manager level).
- Select 'System Admin' at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- Select the 'Users' tab at the top of the screen.
- Select 'Setup User Login' to edit another user or 'Setup My Login' to edit your own login.
- In the 'Setup User Login' screen, select the user to edit from the list on the left.
- Assign Log-in Method:
- Select the log-in method to be assigned or edited:
- Swipe Card ID: Swipe the card through the magnetic reader.
- Proximity Band ID: Scan the proximity band into the reader
- PIN Number: Enter the desired PIN number.
- Fingerprint: Scan the user's fingerprint on the USB reader.
- Select the log-in method to be assigned or edited:
- Select 'Save User' at the bottom of the screen to save the assigned method.
