Oolio Pay - Performing a MOTO Transaction

MOTO payment (via the EFTPOS PinPad)

MOTO stands for "Mail Order/Telephone Order" and refers to credit card transactions where the card is not physically present at the time of purchase. This means the customer provides their payment details over the phone, through mail, or via email to the business. MOTO transactions are a common way for businesses to accept payments when a customer is not physically in front of a point of sale.

Before you can make MOTO transactions, you need to have this feature enabled.
If you do not already have it enabled please contact support.pay@oolio.com

To make a MOTO payment:

  1. Select Transactions > New transaction.
  2. Enter your Transactions passcode, and select Continue.
  3. Select Moto payment.
  4. Enter an amount and confirm.
  5. Follow the instructions on the display to enter the customer's card number and CVC code.

⚠️Please note: this will NOT automatically add the surcharged amount, if you want to surcharge the client for MOTO transactions you will need to manually calculate the total sale value + the surcharge and then process the full payment.

Finalising MOTO Record (via WaiterMate, for balancing purposes)

Option 1 (Recommend)
