Summary
When a paid HungryHungry order is received in OrderMate through the integration, the most common configuration is to apply an automatic payment to the sale. Previously, the payment type that was used was 'Internet Prepayment'. In recent development an additional payment type was created specific to HungryHungry and paid orders will now be automatically paid with this payment type.
The changes in short!
- A new payment type for HungryHungry has been created
- HungryHungry integrations configured to pay to debtor, will now change to a payment type
- HungryHungry payments should be included in reconciliation 'Cashing up'
- HungryHungry payment types can be exported to it's own GL Account in accounting integration
Changes to the Payment Screen
- An additional payment option has been added to the pay screen to keep online payment types seperate. This is now called WEB as shown below;
- Internet Prepayment was moved to this screen (formally in the Debit screen)
Changes to the Online Integration
- A new payment type called HungryHungry has been created.
- When the integration was configured to 'Auto Apply a Payment Type' in previous versions, the payment type applied was Internet Prepayment. This will now be the HungryHungry payment type.
- Integrations that were previously configured to send the sales to a debtor, will no longer do this. These integrations will also apply the new HungryHungry payment type.
- This payment type can also be used for HungryHungry orders that need to be processed manually (like if the internet went down and orders were sent via text).
Changes to the Reports & Cashing Up
If the HungryHungry integration was previously configured to send Online orders to a debtor, cashing up will be slightly differently. The HungryHungry payments will now need to be entered in the 'Cash Up' or the Reconciliation.
If the HungryHungry integration was already using a payment type, the type would have previously been 'Internet Prepayment'. This will be a small change where instead of using the internet prepayment totals in the cash up, HungryHungry totals can be seen and entered separately.
On the takings this terminal report in WaiterMate;
- Internet prepayment has been moved to the Web section
- HungryHungry payments have also been added to the WEB totals
In Reconciliation in OfficeMate;
- Internet prepayment has been moved to the Web section
- HungryHungry payments have also been added to the WEB totals
Changes to Accounting Integration
- The Internet Prepayment 'Accounting Group' has been renamed Online Payments. In the GL Link screen in OfficeMate, the GL Account number will retain the existing configuration, therefore there is no change required.
- When the new HungryHungry payment type was created, a new accounting group also needed to be created. This has simply been named HungryHungry. This accounting group can be mapped separately in the GL Account Links screen in OfficeMate. This will allow takings made using this payment type to be exported to a seperate clearing account in the accounting software if required.
- By default, the GL Account Link will match the previous configuration that was being used for Internet prepayment. ie. if internet prepayment was linked to 1-9000 clearing account, the HungryHungry payment type would also be linked to this account.
