Applying a Discount

This article will explain:

• How to apply an item level discount
• How to apply a discount to the whole bill

Option 1 - Item Level Discount

Apply a discount on an item-by-item basis.

1. Navigate to the modifier screen by clicking on the item name from the ordering screen.

2. Choose the ‘Discount’ button from this screen.

3. 'Percentage' and 'Dollar' amount discounts are separated into separate tabs. Choose the desired tab to find the required discount.

Option 2 - Apply discounts from the Payment Screen in WaiterMate

Both ‘Item Level’ and ‘Account Level’ discounts can be applied from the ‘Pay’ screen. Account level discounts apply to the whole bill, and Item level discounts only apply to selected items.

Account Discount:
Account level discounts apply to the whole bill.

1. Select 'Account Discount'
2. Select 'Dollar Amount' or 'Percentage'
3. Select the relevant discount you'd like to apply to the account
4. You will be brought back to to the payment screen and discount will have been applied

Item Level:
Item Level discounts only apply to selected items.

1. Select 'Item Discount'
2. Select the relevant 'Course'
3. Select the relevant items you would like to discount. You can select multiple
4. Select 'OK"
5. Select 'Dollar Amount' or 'Percentage'
6. Select the relevant discount you'd like to apply to the items
7. You will be brought back to to the payment screen and discount will have been applied
