What is an OfficeDrawer?
When looking at your Takings report or trying to do a reconciliation, you may have noticed that you have an extra cash drawer named "OfficeDrawer".
What could we use this for?
The OfficeDrawer is a system-created drawer. It is generally used as a virtual cash draw, so that you can access the Pay button on a Waiter Station that does not have a physical Cash draw or one that you don't need to pop the cash draw open.
The other use of this drawer is for Tyro Pay@Table integrations.
Since these need to be linked to a cash draw, and also linked to the server, this is the perfect setup for it. Of course, the name can be changed to make it easier when reporting, and also similar virtual cash drawers can be made, so you can have more than 1 virtual cash draw.
If a terminal is linked to the "OfficeDrawer" and payments are made, then the figures will show up under that drawer.
