This article will explain:
- How to change shifts in WaiterMate
- How to print takings for multiple shifts
- How to reconcile multiple shifts
Note: to use this feature you must first Setup Multiple Shifts in OfficeMate.
How to Change Shifts
At the start of each trading day, all WaiterMate terminals will automatically enter the first shift of the day.
To change the shift on a terminal:
1. Select 'System Admin' (in the bottom right-hand corner)
2. Select 'Change Shift'
3. Select 'Change Shift' or 'Change Shift For All Terminals'
Note: Unless you have a specific reason not to, we would recommend changing the shift for all terminals. If you don't, different terminals will be registering payments in different Shifts.
4. Select which shift you would like to change to
The takings report is usually printed at the time the shift is changed and reconciliation then completed for that shift.
How to print the takings report
1. Select 'System Admin' (in the bottom right-hand corner)
2. Select 'Reports'
3. Select the shift you would like to print the takings for
4. Select the report(s) you would like to view
Reconciliation for multiple shifts
By setting up multiple shifts and taking payments in those shifts, you will need to complete multiple reconciliations in a day.
Note: You will notice, when you go to create a reconciliation in OfficeMate, you will have the option to create a separate reconciliation for each shift.
