Why does this happen?
Occasionally EFTPOS providers make changes to the way they send information to the OrderMate system. To alleviate this causing any problems, OrderMate has developed a warning screen that allows users to manually ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ any transactions that the system does not recognise.
What should I do if this happens?
Your staff should be instructed to be careful to read the message and then look at the EFTPOS terminal. The EFTPOS terminal will show if the payment is ‘Declined’ or ‘Approved’. The staff should select the same option on the WaiterMate warning. If the wrong option is chosen, the tills will not balance.
