Summary
‘Plus Groups’ are used to provide the user with the ability to modify a menu item with predetermined alterations. Individual pluses within these groups can be created with an additional charge if this is required. If using prep dockets, pluses can be printed on the prep docket beneath each menu item.
Step 1: Creating the Plus Group
Begin by logging into OfficeMate
Navigate to the ‘Plus Groups’ screen in the navigation panel
Select the ‘New Group’ icon located on the tool bar at the top right of the screen
The details of the ‘Plus Group’ will be visible as shown below
Step 2: Editing the Plus Group
Label |
Name the plus group so it can be easily identified when attaching to menu items and also when searching the pluses sold reports. |
Size |
Multiple sized plus groups may be required for multiple sized menu items. |
Copy Pluses From |
Pluses within this group can be copied from an existing group. |
To save the changes select ‘OK’.
To forget changes select ‘Cancel’.
Step 3: Adding the Pluses to the Group
To create new pluses within the option group, click on the ‘New Plus’ icon located on the toolbar at the top left of the screen.
Once the plus has been created, it can be seen as below and will require to be edited.
Name |
This will print on the prep docket and Tax Invoice. |
Price |
Add a price if this plus attracts an additional charge to the menu item. |
Sequence |
Pluses can be given a numerical sequence to override the alphabetical order of their display in WaiterMate. |
Background Colour |
Select the colour of the BUTTON in WaiterMate. |
Fourground Colour |
Select the colour of the FONT in WaiterMate. |
Add Group |
This plus can be moved to an alternative plus group if required. |
Repeat the above steps until all of the pluses have been added to this group and edited.
Once complete, select ‘Save’ from the toolbar at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Attaching the Plus Group to the Menu Item
Navigate to the ‘Items’ screen in OfficeMate (see ‘Creating Menu Items’)
Select the menu item to attach the plus group to.
Click the tick box ‘Show Extended View’ from the top right of the screen to make more columns visible
From the bottom of the screen, scroll across to the right and click on the ‘Plus group’ field as shown.
Click in the desired field to see a drop down list of all of the created plus groups.
Select the desired plus group for each menu item.
Only one plus group can be added per menu item.
From the item screen, select the ‘Save’ icon.
