Summary
Triggers are used to activate events or features in the OrderMate software. A trigger can be created using a variety of parameters and then attached to the feature it should activate. Some examples where this may be used could be assigning a particular user group to a discount or setting a time frame for a happy hour prices.
Creating a Trigger
Prior to attaching a trigger to a feature such as a discount or a price level, it must first be created from the triggers screen.
Note: Search for 'Triggers' in OfficeMate
A list of existing triggers will be shown, to create a new trigger select the (+) New icon from the top of the screen
A dialog box will be presented where the trigger can be edited
Note: Name the trigger something that describes the parameters for the trigger, not what it is to be used for e.g. 'Thursday 4pm - 6pm' instead of 'Happy hour' as this will be clearer for future use and to other users who may wish to reuse this trigger in the future.
