Summary
Loyalty points can be manually allocated to an item to enable customers to accumulate a pre-determined amount of points and later use these points to purchase items. Manually adding loyalty points makes it possible to set varied ratios of points or to exclude certain items from either accumulating points, being able to redeem points or both.
Step 1 - Searching for Items in OfficeMate
Navigate to the ‘Items’ screen in the navigation panel.
From the item screen, all menu items that have previously been created will be displayed. Select from the fields shown below and select from the desired drop down menu to refine the information on this screen for example, search by one menu section at a time. This often makes it easier to edit new menu items or to find an existing menu item that needs to be edited.
Step 2 - Manually Setting Loyalty Points
Loyalty points can be manually allocated to an item to enable customers to accumulate a pre-determined amount of points and later use these points to purchase items. Manually adding loyalty points makes it possible to set varied ratios of points or to exclude certain items from either accumulating points, being able to redeem points or both.
From the check box on the right hand side of the screen, tick ‘Show Loyalty Points'
Additional columns will now be displayed and can be edited by selecting each field.
Loyalty Add – Manually set the amount of points a customer will earn when purchasing this item.
Loyalty Redeem – Manually set the amount of points a customer will need to redeem to purchase this item.
Loyalty points can also be applied using a forced loyalty earn and redeem factor using price level loyalty. This would remove the need to manually add points per item. See additional guide.
Step 3 - Downloading changes to WaiterMate
Once changes have been made and saved in OfficeMate they will require to be downloaded to Waitermate.
From the toolbar at the top of the screen, select the ‘Save’ icon.
To manually download menu changes;
- Log in to WaiterMate.
- Choose ‘System Admin’ from the bottom right hand side of any screen.
- Select the ‘System’ tab from the top of the screen.
- Select ‘Download Menu’.
Alternatively
Menu changes will automatically be downloaded to WaiterMate whenever a user logs out of the ordering screen.
Menu changes will also automatically be downloaded when WaiterMate restarts. This usually happens every night and does not require a manual restart.
