What is Stock Countdown?
It is possible to set a manual count on items in WaiterMate by using the Stock Countdown feature. Once enabled, the user can edit an item and manually determine the quantity in stock for this item. If a user attempts to order this item after the stock countdown has exceeded the minimum, then they will be presented with a warning prompt on the screen. This is often used for specials or items that are only stocked in limited quantities. Before using the Stock Countdown feature in WaiterMate, it must first be enabled in OfficeMate
How to enable Stock Countdown
- From the Welcome screen in Officemate, select the 'Options' button from the top of the screen
- Select the first three options
- Enable Stock Countdown
- Show Stock Count in WaiterMate
- Stock Countdown Oversell
- Ignore - Will allow a count to be set, however the user will not be notified if the count is below zero
- Warn - Will warn the user if they order an item that has below one remaining
- Prevent -Will prevent the user if they order an item that has below one remaining
- Restart WaiterMate to enable this feature
How to set the count on the item
- Log into WaiterMate and from any account type, order the item
- Select the item from the summary panel to enter the modifier screen
- Select the 'Stock Count' icon from the bottom of the screen
- Set the count by inputting the remaining quantity on the keypad
- Select 'Stock Count Enabled' for this item
- Decide if the count should include the current quantity in this order or not
- Select the 'Ok' icon
- The item will now display the remaining quantity and will reduce with each order
How to view the warning in WaiterMate
If an item is selected that has less than one quantity available, with the oversell strategy set to 'Warn' then the following warning will be displayed
If an item is selected that has less than one quantity available, with the oversell strategy set to 'Prevent' then the following warning will be displayed
